A Photo Collage

Welcome to my site.

This site is composed of photos of Tiger Musky and other fish caught in the Upstate New York area.  Myself and friends in my boat have landed over  260 Tiger Muskie.  Although we fish primarily for Tigers, we also enjoy fishing for Salmon, Bass, Walleye, Trout, Northern Pike, and panfish.

Our fishing season usually starts on April 1st and we usually fish through the end of September.  I've done some ice fishing over the years in the months between November and March, but as I get older I find myself becoming more and more of a "fair weather" fisherman.   These ol bones just can't take the cold like they used to.  The winter months are now relegated to past memories, telling whopper "stories" about fishing, and getting gear ready for the Spring.

My first memory of being a beginner fisherman took place when I was about 5 years old.  My father took me along when he went Walleye fishing on the Fish Creek in Sylvan Beach, NY.  He put a worm on the hook and cast it out into the water and told me "When you get a bite, yank hard and reel it in".  Well there I was as proud as a peacock, sitting there, not knowing what he was talking about.  I sat there for about 15 minutes till a mosquito landed on my arm and bit me.  I said "I've got a bite now, should I reel it in"?  My Mom and Dad laughed so hard and I was so embarrassed because I didn't know what I said that was so funny.

Since then, we took many trips to that ol fishing hole and then to the St. Lawrence River on many camping/fishing trips.  We used to go fishing almost every weekend during the summer months to the many different lakes, rivers, and streams in the central NY area.

Since that day on the Fish Creek, I've been hooked.  I have learned to appreciate the beautiful scenery (when the fish aren't biting).  I've learned to appreciate the joy of spending time with family.  And I've learned to appreciate the bond of friendship between my beloved family and friends.

Please take your time and browse through the photos of some of the fish we caught during the last few years.  They might take a while to load but it's worth the wait, if you enjoy fishing.  When done browsing a page, please click on the next page.  Also please note that ALL tiger musky were "catch & release".  They're still there now, only BIGGER!!!  <')//////////<{

Please take a moment when you are done browsing and if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them if you will send me an email.  I'd also appreciate it if you would sign my Guestbook and be sure to include your website address if you have one.  Thanks & enjoy.

PS:  My most recent adventure is writing a song titled "Officer Down".  It is a very poignant reminder to the public of one of the dangers police officers face on a daily basis.  It was written by me, and put to music by Donna Mucks, Singer/Songwriter.  It is available from Donna at her website Sunny Rock Shores Music listed below and from CD Baby also by clicking the link below.  Mine is the second song on the album "Faith and Service".  If you scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Preview All", you can hear a brief sample of all the songs on the album.  Please order the album and tell your friends about it.  I truly believe you will enjoy it.  Thanks,

This site is dedicated to my father Chester V. Cieslak 1918-1995.  He was my constant companion who taught me to fish.  And to my mother Lillie Bullen Cieslak      -1998. (she wouldn't want me to post her date of birth).  She was such a great cook and mother.
